For those in the know, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a stunner that can compete with any of its metropolitan peers.
Not only does the MFA put on great exhibits (like their past exploration of Hokusai) but they showcase some of the best examples of early American art.
Examples of some stellar paintings in the MFA's collection include:
* Mary Stevenson Cassatt's "The Tea" (pictured on the front of the card);
* Winslow Homer's "The Fog Warning";
* William Morris Hunt's "The Drummer Boy";
* John Singleton Copley's "Watson and the Shark"; and
* Gilbert Stuart's "Washington at Dorchester Heights".
Drop by the MFA for an hour or two, and you should leave inspired.
