Sold around the world, these traditional wall hangings are made in Mali by a cooperative called Atelier Autodidacts Anti-Algorithms (AAAA).
Called Bogolans, these woven pieces are made with cotton, organic materials and fermented mud. While they can be used for art or decor, the different patterns represent certain themes and were traditionally (at least from our understanding) designed to ward off negative energy.
