You may like the Red Sox, you may not.
It doesn't matter. If you're in Boston during the baseball season, you should stop by Fenway Park.
The oldest standing ballpark in the world is filled with history and character.
Food and refreshments are plentiful.
And the staff is nice to boot.
Case in point: we bought the same seat for a planned doubleheader and found ourselves sitting behind a steel support column.
True.
With our view blocked, we were lucky to slide into an aisle seat for the first game.
For the second game, we talked with a staffer at a Fan Services Booth and (even though we told him we were from New York) he quickly (and amiably) switched our ticket to a nice unobstructed seat in the outfield.
We were impressed.
Overall, you'll have a really fun and memorable time at Fenway Park -- just avoid Grandstand 9, Row 1, Seat 12.
Note: if you're not in town during the baseball season, you can also join a live tour of Fenway Park throughout the year. These hour-long group tours are very popular and receive mostly rave reviews. If you're a true diehard (or can't make it to Boston), you can also book an online tour.
