From contributor ultimatepieguy:
Inside Salvatore Ferragamo’ first-ever shop is a museum that celebrates the life and career of the famed luxury shoe designer.
My wife, who wasn’t feeling it, asked me if I wanted to go to see the exhibit? And I said, “Yeah, I love Ferragamo. They are my favorite shoes. I’ve worn them over two decades.”
We went downstairs and purchased tickets (€8 a piece).
And my wife was so glad we did.
She walked through every section and read everything about Ferragamo: what he was able to accomplish from 1927 to 1960 and the women he made shoes for (such as Eva Peron and Marilyn Monroe).
And, best of all, Ferragamo’s celebrity and fashion-forward designs were on display.
It was breathtaking.
Just the amount of movie stars and celebrities who entered Ferragamo’s orbit is mind-blowing.
If you’re into fashion, history, business or entertainment, this is a must-see museum.
