This bar has so much history that it's hard to decipher what's true and what's not true.
But we think we can safely say:
The small spot was opened in 1931 by Giuseppe Cipriani, Sr., part of the famed Cipriani family.
It's where the bar owner invented the Bellini, a peach and Prosecco potion.
Other than it being occupied by the Nazis for a short stint in the early 1940s, Harry's Bar has been a crowd favorite.
Celebs who have bent an elbow here include Audrey Hepburn, Charlie Chaplin, Cole Porter, Ernest Hemingway, Errol Flynn, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Frank Lloyd Wright, Katherine Hepburn, Orson Welles, Noel Coward, Peggy Guggenheim, Prince Philip, Somerset Maugham, and Truman Capote.
Harry's Bar knows the power of its reputation. The drinks are a pretty penny.
No matter. While their Bellini is small and expensive, don't blink an eye.
Just take a sip of the delicious nectar and smile. You're now part of history.
