You know by now that we were served this dessert wine at Michelin-mentioned El Muro restaurant in Vejer. One of the reasons why we love the chef of El Muro so much is that he integrates and promotes local products and businesses.
The chef buys his bread from Pasteleria La Noria - a childhood buddy now taking over from his father and adding his own original and creative twists to baking - and he promotes a couple of semi-sweet dessert wines from a local wine cellar, Bodegas Gallardo.
We were served two types of dessert wine, the Clarito and Orange Sun, both offered chilled. And we were so enchanted with the orange wine - not the color orange, but actual oranges riped under the Spanish sun - we had to visit. the cellar ourselves.
Follow in our footsteps and visit the cellar. You will love their orange sun dessert wine, and also their delicately sweet white Clarito. They even have tuna packed in their wine with olive oil.
