From contributor Ultimate Pie Guy:
Designer Ashley Sutton has made a name for himself in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Tokyo with his scene-stealing bars.
He first livened up the Hong Kong nightlife in 2016 with the now-shuttered Ophelia, a peacock-themed affair, with creative drinks and dancers performing on swings.
He followed that up with The Iron Fairies, which feels like you’ve walked inside the devil’s foundry, complete with furnaces and little iron fairy statuettes. It’s a small, but fun space with live bands and great cocktails.
If you like art and alcohol, Iron Fairies should be on your list.
And lucky for you, three other Sutton-designed spaces are a stone’s throw away: The Mixing Room (next door to Iron Fairies in the old J. Boroski space); the nearby Maggie Choo cabaret; and Dragonfly across the street in Tai Kwun.
