Dinner

Tonight was our wedding anniversary – and we had one of our most memorable dinners in our 29 years together.

Enoteca Pinchiorri is a 3-star Michelin. They don’t want to be. They get too much hype. But it is what it is.

I don’t even know where to begin.

Their wine list is gigantic – with a gorgeous cellar holding an estimated €100 million-plus collection. Yes, the wine is expensive, but you can order by the glass – where they choose the wine based on the food you’re getting and they keep pouring until you stop drinking. It was unbelievable.

The restaurant has a separate menu for waters (it’s a book of waters!), and the pages describes each bottles’ pH value, origin and bubble size. We tried three different waters. One table? They got freaking Pellegrino. Really, why would you get Pellegrino? You've got a bazillion water to choose from. Why would you order Pellegrino? It was hilarious.

The food was breathtaking. It was multiple courses, including seafood, meats, pastas, and truffles.

The atmosphere was like an old house with multiple rooms, with each room having a distinct setting.

This was fine dining at its highest. If your glass of water is getting low, they're on it. If a glass of wine is low, they're on it. There were five to six tables in our room with seven to eight servers working it.

You have to leave a deposit, and you should budget about three to four times that amount. Enoteca Pinchiorri is expensive but you’re getting what you pay for. This is the ultimate fine dining experience.

The entire experience was exquisite.

You "Google" the restaurant, and you read some reviews, and people give it bad reviews, and you crack up. You're like, well, you don't you just don't know f-ing food or atmosphere.
