Beginning to take flight across America, hot chicken is a staple of Nashville.
It's fried chicken coated in a spicy, oily sauce that's not healthy, but certainly delicious.
The Hattie B's chain is my go-to place and certainly worth it.
But the one in Downtown Nashville (in a monstrous new building on Broadway) always has a line.
A little tip: if you're at that location, there's no need to wait at Hattie B's. Go a level up to find a large food hall with a competing hot chicken chain called Prince's (which is credited for starting the hot chicken trend in another part of Nashville around the 1930s).
