The wealthiest alley in Yap, the bank street lined with valuable ‘money stones’ made of limestone transported from Palau centuries ago. The value is in the stories of each stone. Not the size.
Yap’s men’s houses usually by the sea is where only men and boys gather to pass on stories and skills of the Yap culture.
