It was the goal of my wife, Michelle Mariaud, for collectors to own contemporary art pieces at affordable prices.
I am now continuing the mission.
Michele Mariaud was from Canada. She was a trained pianist who went to Paris on holiday, stayed and became the head of marketing for MacDonalds.
She followed me to New York, where I was a commercial photographer, and she continued her string of successes, including bringing the Lillet aperitif brand to new heights.
We ultimately found our passion in art, having exhibitions in our SoHo loft and later adding two more floors in the building.
While I pursued my art photography career, Michele oversaw the gallery that she established in 2005.
For 16 years, up until her passing, she never wavered from her commitment to her artists and her clients.
She was loved by so many - and this outpouring caused me to pick up where she left off, opening two gallery spaces in 2024.
Sometimes people forget the name of the artists they like - but they never shake the name of a good gallery.
Collectors and designers remember Michele.
She brought joy to so many - and it’s my goal, and that of our team, to carry on Michele’s mission and traditions at international art fairs and in our Bellport, New York, and Paris locations.
We look forward to seeing you and adding joy to your life and your home.
