Housed in a tiny cabin alongside the main road that cuts through Amagansett, New York, The Stephen Talkhouse -- or "The Talkhouse" as it's known by locals -- has been a legendary fountain of fun for the past 35 years.
Here at the bar-slash-music venue, songs have been sung, friendships have been forged, and numbers have been exchanged.
It's also where Soldier Ride, part of the Wounded Warrior Project, was founded -- during a major blackout in 2003 no less.
On any night, you'll find people from all walks of life. From folks in tuxes and gowns to locals in T-shirts and jeans, The Talkhouse welcomes all, including a slew of high profile celebs, politicians and musicians.
The list of singers and bands who have played The Talkhouse stage is staggering. Count Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Coldplay and The Killers among them.
Packed in the summer, a little more cozy off-season, this unassuming saloon is part of the social fabric of the Hamptons. We raise a glass to our friends there... and say let the next late night adventure rock, roll and unfold.
