Once a romantic downtown mainstay from 1989 to 2017, this cocktail lounge came roaring back in 2021, when the teams behind Sona (an Indian restaurant) and Attaboy (an iconic speakeasy) took ownership.
It’s a scene for Fashion Week, or for that matter any week.
The house has nibbles if you’re hungry. But it’s best known for its wood-bedecked retro atmosphere and cocktails, including a vodka martini with olive oil; an espresso martini with banana liqueur; and a blue-coloured negroni.
Be cautioned, however.
Temple Bar is NOT a must. The scene reminds us of a loud hotel bar - but the olive oil martini is a tasty drink.
If you're in the hood, and craving a martini, drop by - but make a rezzie first.
