And Then There Were None is the world's best-selling mystery, with over 100 million copies sold. In fact, it's one of the best selling books of all time. It features neither Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple, or indeed any of Agatha Christie's recurring characters.
Ten disparate (and increasingly desparate) people are on a remote island, having been lured there by false pretenses. There's no way to leave, their supposed hosts are missing...and the murders begin. To tell too much more would start to give the plot away, and I don't want to do that--here Christie, a master at plotting, is at the top of her form. So I won't say who is responsible or why they were all brought together. But I will say that the story is about guilt, and justice, and punishment, and wrongs that the law cannot put right.
