Whenever we introduce the apple cider from the Milk Pail to our friends, we tell them it is crack cocaine. The nectar is so honey-sweet you can't believe it's just apples. But they swear no honey or sugar has been added. The cider made in the fall/winter season is exceptional. You will be hooked.
And the best apple dessert in the world just has to be their apple dumplings. Shaped like a large, plump ravioli, the beauty of this dessert is that it is baked with a whole apple inside. Not sliced apples. So it retains all its juice and sweetness within, and is super delicious.
The apple dumplings are only made with fresh apples - no cold storage here - so the offering is seasonal. While you can get Milk Pail's yummy apple pies and crumbles all year round, you can only get the apple dumplings for the last two months of the year. Like us, you should try to get your fill before the new year starts!
They also have a wide selection of New York apples to choose from as well, including experimental varieties produced in conjunction with Cornell University.
