I love the rough and tumble Busan-style seafood. Raw, spicy, briny... so many adjectives come to mind, but you never think elegant. And it is not supposed to be.
Ariari is written up to be related to Atoboy and Moono of Michelin-starred chefs, but this is a completely different experience. It reminds me a lot of Bada Story, also a restaurant that claims to airlift their seafood directly from Busan to Fort Lee, NJ.
So if you can't make it over to NJ, and you have that Busan seafood craving, Ariari is a pretty decent alternative.
Their two signature dishes, Mak-Hwe and Scallop DIY Gimbap, were pretty good and authentic.
