Born and Bred, as of press time, has a Michelin star and draws an international crowd.
It's Korean barbecue at it's finest. It comes with a price, one that most locals will avoid, but for those on an expense account it will still be their first choice.
The restaurant grew out of a butcher shop and has since relocated.
Now there are three floors devoted to Hanwoo, the rare breed of Korean beef.
Guests can reserve seating in a special private speakeasy, the main dining hall for a la carte ordering, or the private dining room for the tasting menu.
Wherever you sit, you will be treated to different tasty cuts of Hanwoo, which are expertly grilled for you.
It's really a cut above what you can find in the city.
Is it worth it? We think so -- they have perfected the service and experience of omakase beef that we haven't found anywhere else.
While we don't like to post criticisms, one word to the wise. Don't order the pho. It's the restaurant's version of the Vietnamese soup that widely misses the mark, if you've ever been to Vietnam.
Reservations are a must.
