True to their Paris-meets-Tokyo inspiration, their yuzu honey tea has an abundance of real yuzu slices in it, and it is one of the few places in the US where you can find canelés. Hence, this is my go-to spot for a neighbourhood coffee or tea.
Yuzu is a citrus fruit - called yuja in Korea - a cross between a lemon, a lime and perhaps even a grapefruit. It's slightly bitter and thick skin is great for making tea and beloved by both the Japanese and the Koreans. Don't discard the remnants of flesh and skin at the bottom of your teacup, use your teaspoon and make sure you savour every mouth-watering bite.
A canelé is a small French pastry flavored with rum and vanilla with a soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust. Each chewy little bite is a true delight for the senses.
Organic wine is also served at the cafe, so you can chose to be either an oenophile, a coffee enthusiast, or a tea connoisseur for the day.
Attached to the fashion house Maison Kitsune, you can browse about their selection while getting your afternoon pick-me-up.
