We walked into Everything's Fine Vintage on Essex Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. We got attracted to them in the most in the most classical way - through window shopping.
We started looking through an abundant yet well organised display of denim and silk slips - my favourite type of vintage - but they also had everything from boxy blazers to fancy dresses. A very pleasant experience (without the usual dust and allergens you must endure in typical vintage stores) and we learned that they source from 30 different vendors around the country with a mix from regular pre-used to upcycled and reworked items.
Prices were reasonable, too. This wasn't the kind of place where you picked up a simple old T-shirt with a piece of lace and a bow affixed to it and had to walk out with sticker shock.
They also had a gallery wall of interesting art and we learned they have a collab with Visionary Projects, running from August 23 to October 4, 2024. You can purchase online or in the shop.
Definitely worth checking out.
