This is one of my most consistently favourite cocktail bars in the world. And even though their HK location has regrettably closed, they are still going strong in Singapore and Sydney, in addition to NYC's West Village.

There is no obvious signage. You follow the neon "Psychic" sign - and yes, there is a real psychic on duty it is not just for show - and enter the bar. Or most likely stand in line and wait for your turn to pass the velvet ropes.

What’s the PRO TIP here? Make a reservation at the restaurant (or tell the doorman you want a table). All EO’s have a tiny but mighty seating area for a surprisingly delicious meal and you can enjoy the great cocktails without the lines or the jostle.

In fact, the place is called Employees Only because it was originally born as a restaurateur's restaurant, with the kitchen open late and offering food (not just beverages) for those restaurant employees that may be looking for a proper sit down meal after their late night shift.

We love the art deco design and the white jackets on the staff. And the ubiquitous experience, no matter where you are in the world.
