From contributor ultimatepieguy:
On our first day in Milan, we took a walk around town and stumbled upon Boscovich Bistrot near the train station. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear—this was a locals’ spot. The place was jam-packed, the tables full, and the energy buzzing with the sound of fast Italian chatter.
Even though we arrived a little late (around 2 PM), the restaurant was still going strong. We were the only tourists in sight, but the host was incredible—warm, welcoming, and eager to make sure we had a great experience.
I had cheese risotto that was so good it set the tone for the rest of the trip. MB went for a Caprese salad, and the wine selection, recommended by our host, was phenomenal.
After lunch, walk a block to Terra Gelato (Via Vitruvio 38) and get a scoop of their cherry gelato—it’s the perfect way to end a meal.
