If you are looking for things to do in Nashville, the Oppryland Hotel is a must-do. The hotel spans an impressive 3.3 million square feet and features a wide array of things to do. You can walk around the gardens, where beautifully kept flowers and plants offer great photo opportunities. You can visit their indoor waterpark for a quick splash; you can shop at their many luxury shops indoors; or you can even take a boat through the inside of the hotel!
My girlfriend and I decided to drive to the hotel, given that it was not far from ours. The parking for the hotel is 35 dollars, and while that is not extreme, if you can rideshare into the venue, you will save a bit of money.
While inside the hotel, we were astonished by what was offered—so many different rooms of flowers, restaurants, and shops. The whole experience is free to visit (unless you choose a paid activity like the water park or the boat rides), but there is no admission for the venue itself. Inside the venue was pretty busy; being it is also a convention hall, there were multiple large conventions going on, which made the resort pretty packed.
I would recommend taking the Delta River boat through the hotel; they will tell you all about the history of the hotel while you enjoy a relaxing boat ride through the venue. The boat ride will cost you about 16 dollars per person, but I think it is a must-do while at Oppryland.
The restaurant selection was very impressive as well, offering many fine dining options. I would recommend the Old Hickory Steakhouse. I thought the food was reasonably priced and was pretty good for a venue of its size.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience, and I would definitely go back again!
