Raf's is great. It's one of those places where you get properly greeted by a maitre d', before you are led to your table to sit down and take in the beauty.
Relax with a perfect martini, order from a menu with just the right amount of options, all while basking in a warm glow.
Donβt miss the bread basket.
The chicken is amazing. - I call it grilled chicken meets escargot. Everything on the menu including this chicken is baked in a wood-fired brick oven. Indeed Raf's cooks everything in the old bread oven from the historic bakeries that used to be on the street, dating back to 1935.
And their Caramelized White Chocolate Budino with Salted Whipped Cream - in other words, a boozy bourbon pudding - is delightful.
We love the environment and the atmosphere. the painted clouds on the ceiling reminds you of Lasserre in Paris. It has that European flair - while it is definitely a place for good-looking people, as in Europe, you see both the younger crowd (in the front bar area) as well as the older elegance (in the back dining room). This we love.
