Saskia Pintelon is a Belgian who lives in Sri Lanka in a house designed by Tadao Ando.
Pintelon has captured my interest for a number of reasons. I like that she's creating art later in life. I like her messages. I like her being selected to the last Biennale. And I like that her works are at the Samdani Art Foundation in Bangladesh.
Recently, gallery owner Arjun Sawhney brought Pintelon to the Pristine Contemporary at DSL Farm in Chattapur, Delhi.
The exhibit, called "Reflections: The Mirror and The Self," explored the human experience through a collection of Pintelon's drawings, collages and paintings.
The show had a brief run from March 29 to April 9, 2024, but it caught the well-deserved attention of Architectural Digest.
