As former expats in Southeast Asia, we have high standards when it comes to Thai food. Most of the sugary spice in New York does not cut it for us. But we have finally found a place that we will definitely frequent - Soothr Thai Noodle Bar in the East Village.
We sampled the Chicken Khao Soi - and it's spicy curry sauce was just like we used to enjoy back in Asia.
This Michelin mentioned eatery is upscale divey and hip, reminding of us of Samsen in Hong Kong, another great Thai place.
Reservations are encouraged - though seating is pretty prompt if you put your name on their waiting list.
For those wanting to skip the bustle, pick-up and delivery options are also available.
