Winston Churchill was known as the British Bulldog, but the leader's tastes were most certainly the cat's meow.
Here is Churchill's stylebook.
TRAVEL
Churchill stayed at Brown's in London; the Hotel de Paris in Monaco; the Jamaica Inn in Jamaica; La Mamounia in Marrakesh; the Mount Nelson in Cape Town; the Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan, Egypt; and Reid's Palace in Madeira, Portugal.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
In London, he ate at Claridge's, The Ritz and The Savoy, where he also tippled at the hotel's American Bar.
He bought cheese at Paxton & Whitfield.
STYLE
Churchill barbered at Truefitt & Hill; donned suits from Henry Poole & Co.; and wore bespoke shirts from Turnbull & Asser, the same tailor who also constructed his one-piece romper.
He also wore shoes and slippers by George Cleverly.
His cigars included ones made by Romeo y Julieta.
