Started as a winery in 1908, Bodega Campos opened up a restaurant in 1995. So that you are first greeted by wine barrels may not be a surprise. To see former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's name on one of the barrels, perhaps.
A more casual tavern up front, and formal dining room in the back, we were able to smile our way into a table for two in the tavern without a reservation. But knowing what we know now, I wouldn't take that risk again.
Every morsel here is an art form. It was recommended by our stylish Spanish friend, and we always trust the locals.
