If you are an art institute, foundation, artist or enthusiast, you have to be in Venice during the Biennale. It's truly a destination for art.
I've already been twice this year and my two weeks there have been filled with appreciation for new artists, not only in the main sections of the showcase (the Giardini and Arsenale venues), but also in the independent and off-site displays.
This year's Biennale theme, "Foreigners Everywhere," is a thought-provoking one and has led to many discussions between me and my friends.
And that's what good art is all about - provoking discussion and debate.
The Venice Biennale runs through April 20 to November 24, 2024.
