Every time we’re in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, we visit Villa Ephrussi, a stunning estate-turned-museum with a fascinating history. Built by the Ephrussi family, it belonged to the extravagant noblewoman Beatrice Rothschild, whose legacy can still be felt in the grand interiors and impressive collection of furniture and art.
While the house itself is worth exploring, the botanical gardens are the real highlight. Designed to impress, they feature fountains, waterfalls, a cave, and breathtaking views stretching toward Monte Carlo. In the summer, the gardens are at their peak, making it the best time to visit.
Before heading inside, stop for a tea break, a pastry, or even a glass of champagne on the garden terrace. It’s the perfect way to soak in the views before stepping back in time.
The villa experience isn’t just about the history—taking a moment to enjoy tea or champagne in the garden adds to the magic.
