When I was in Corfu, we were teaching a retreat for Ukrainian yoga teachers, and I discovered a few great spots that I’d happily recommend.

For anyone interested in yoga, there’s ClaudiAgapi, a beautiful new retreat center up in the mountains in Agios Stefanos. Another great option is Alexis Zorbas, a German-run center that’s well-suited for yoga retreats.

And then there’s Buddha Hall, where I’ll actually be teaching another retreat.

The town we stayed in, Agios Stefanos, has a gorgeous beach with some nude areas if that’s your thing.

One of my favorite spots to eat was Akrotiri Cafe. It’s this stunning restaurant on a peninsula with a terrace that’s perfect for watching the sunset. The food is fantastic, too.

We stayed at a place called Sugar & Almond, which offers apartments for rent. Pepi, the owner, is lovely. The apartments aren’t super luxurious, but they’re comfortable and just a 5-minute walk down the hill to the beach. It’s a really convenient and peaceful spot.

One more standout spot: Romanza, a hotel with a restaurant in a gorgeous location overlooking islands and the sea. It’s near ClaudiAgapi and has a pool as well.

I didn’t see the rooms, but the setting is spectacular.
