The Kronenhalle is this epic restaurant.
It’s very expensive — but if you’re in Zurich and want Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, you go there. That’s the place. It’s a grand dining room right in the heart of Zurich, near the lake.
You sit down and get all the classics. But if you go to the Kronenhalle and don’t order the Zürcher Geschnetzeltes? You made a big mistake. You missed out on something really special. Authentic. Pretty unique to that place.
Zürcher Geschnetzeltes is thinly sliced veal in a cream sauce with mushrooms, served over rösti. It’s probably as Swiss as it gets.
Inside Tip
“Geschnetzelt” means chopped. So Zürcher Geschnetzeltes is literally “Zurich-style chopped” veal. Save this Card and it will stay on your Wonder Shuffle Map to pull up for your future journey.
But if you’re not making the trip any time soon? We bring that magic to Long Island right here at Alpina in Greenport.
